About Covington Christian School

A Brief History

Covington Christian School (formerly First Baptist School) began in 1979  In 2000, the school began adding grades.  Grades six through twelve were added over a period of several years. The first class to graduate from CCS was in May 2006.

Purpose

The purpose of establishing Covington Christian School was to assist the home and local church in the education of the whole child: mind, body and spirit and to do so in a loving Christian environment.  This philosphy is based on Luke 2:52 in which scripture says, "And Jesus increased in wisom and stature, and in favor with God and man."
